Can wide shoes be made to fit narrow feet?

I just bought some beautiful, expensive shoes but they are too wide and slip off my feet. I put in slip-ins and heel grips but they don’t help. Can a shoe repair place help do something to make them fit narrow feet? I will be very mad if I can’t wear them! I can’t return them because I bought them in a different country. I would appreciate any advice….

Wow – this is a tough one. I guess you will just have to ask a shoe repair place to be certain, but I would think you “should” be able to. They would have to look and see “how” the shoe is big. Is it the top, the sides or what it is and maybe pad that area. It will be easier if it is the top and not the sides, all they would have to do is pad the bottom of the shoe and your foot should have enough height to hit the ceiling of the shoe. If it is the sides, that maybe a different story.

So to give you a definite answer, I guess its hard to say without looking. Was there a specific reason you opted to buy these expensive shoes even though they did not fit ? They must have been extremely cute !!! :)

Good luck to you though !!
